he Jet Project are Belfast duo Timmy Stewart & John McIver. They're
resident djs at the Stiff Kitten and Shine and therefore know a thing
or two about a firing house groove
This project was formed after a few back to back dj sessions led the
guys to realise they both shared the same love of solid dance floor
electronics. It made sense then that they should take all their
influences and experience as djs and bring them to the studio. Their
main aim is to generate solid club music that can be dropped in peak
time sets by djs the world over
The 'Time Flies' and 'Shudders' E.Ps have been picked up by Silicone
Soul's Darkroom Dubs imprint and have literally been raising the roof
everywhere they've been played to date with dj support from the likes
of Andrew Weatherall and Laurent Garnier. The guys also recently mixed
a Northern Irish cover mount cd for Idj mag and remixed the Spirals "We
Have Control", Scoper & Bubba's "I'm Satisfied", the Two Lone
Swordsmen's "Shack 54" and Harold Heath's Rubberback, so things are
definitely off to a jet propelled start!
